Faculty Fellowship Program

The Center for the Humanities in Arts & Sciences is proud to announce its Spring 2010 Faculty Fellows. The three recipients are Asad Ahmed, Ph.D., assistant professor of Arabic and Religious Studies; Angela Miller, Ph.D., professor of Art History and Archaeology; and Robert W. Sussman, Ph.D., professor of Anthropology, all in Arts & Sciences.

Each Fellow will spend a semester in-residence at the center, researching a new book project while performing various duties as fellows, which includes delivering one formal, public lecture about their work.

The faculty fellowships, now in their fourth year, are designed to provide a supportive environment for innovative, interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching. The fellowships are open to all tenured and tenure-track faculty in the Arts & Sciences. A panel of university faculty and outside reviewers selects winners.

Applications for the 2010-2011 academic year will be accepted from July 1 to October 16, 2009, with announcement of the winners in January 2010.
