++ INFORMATION SESSION: TUESDAY, JANUARY 31, 7 PM, DUC 248 ++
The Merle Kling Undergraduate Honors Fellowship Program at Washington University accepts Arts & Sciences sophomores interested in engaging in independent undergraduate research in the humanities or humanistic social sciences. A major or potential major in one of these disciplines is strongly encouraged. Potential Kling Fellows should also have an interest in possibly pursuing graduate study in a humanistic field.
The application process consists of two rounds of competition. In the first round, applicants submit a completed application form, two required application essays and one letter of recommendation, due before spring break. Applicants selected to continue to the second round of the application process are interviewed by program leadership and faculty in mid March before final selections are made. Applicants are welcome to work with current fellows throughout the application process to ensure that each applicant has the best possible chance for success.
